Hello, I have male pattern baldness and i first noticed signs when i was 16... pretty rough age to start developing a mature hairline, i knew the end was nigh so i grew my hair out long. I had luscious golden locks for about 5 years until had to shave it all off.
Bit embarrassing to say, but i actually cried at the thought of losing my hair at 21-22 years old, but then i shaved it and had to suck it up. Wasn't aware back then about any treatments but i found out about 6 months ago. Jumped on minoxidil and finasteride. I've come to terms with it but still, i'd prefer to have hair. Yet i realised that the most important thing was that i felt comfortable with my own mortality and how i as a man would age, just like all the other men in my family it was simply something i had to go through.
I'm sure others have a similar story to me, but when you're a young man and are starting to lose your hair the pressure to retain youthful qualities is quite intense, which makes the situation even more difficult than it probably has to be. Anyways, glad i'm not alone in feeling this way.
