Your hair looks good. I wouldn't consider that to be receding unless it went from nw0 to that in the last year or something. But the fact you're a guy in your mid 30s, it's seemingly taken a while to get to the mild recession that does exist (plus you have good density), so unless that pace rapidly shifts you're probably fine
I mean its not nw0 but few adult men are, so it could just be a mature hairline and not subject to increasing recession aside from where it's at.
LOL, I think they are just using your age as a reference. Nobody is saying you are old in any of the posts. They are just complementing you because you do have great hair for your age. Trust me, I hear it myself and I love the complement and don't mind hearing it over and over again. When you hear you look good for your age, you will appreciate it very much. I am sure most guys here would love to hear it themselves.

The best way to be certain is to take high quality pics of your hairline with hair pulled back every 6 months using exactly the same lighting/camera angles/head position and compare. Also measure the distance from the outer canthus (outer eye) to hairline and in between eyes (glabella) to hairline and compare every 6months.
