Exemestane supposedly lowers it.

You may simply be better off focusing on raising T/DHT though.

Thank you. Would that just lower estrogen though because progesterone and estrogen counteract each other from what I gather? I.e if one is too low the other could raise?

"Exemestane significantly reduced the expression of Ki-67 and progesterone receptors (PgR)"

This will be bad for your hair, so unless you're planning to get off finasteride for good, I don't know what your goal is.

Finasteride itself is a progestin, it makes sense that your progesterone is high... it's literally a drug made from progesterone.

Thanks you for reply.

I’ve come off it for now and not going back on anytime soon.

I take it all the side effects have happened due to the rise in progesterone but the blood test is also showing high testosterone but I’m guessing the high T is being aromatised back to P..?

You need full bloodwork to really understand what is going on. You also haven't stated what side effects you're experiencing.

Elevated progesterone could indicate that 5AR is still inhibited and everything that comes with that.

5AR inhibited, so less T into DHT, and more into Estrogen. Your prolactin is likely elevated as well.

Get your prolactin down, it inhibits steroidogenesis and contributes to gyno and ED.

High dose B6 P5P and Vitamin E should both be helpful for this. Cabergoline if you want a pharma grade solution.
