Hitting random spots=bad?

I'm really concerned by this...

When I use my rogaine foam I first apply it to the 2-3 spots where I have less hair but after that I have enough left to cover maybe 20% of the top of my head total...so should I just apply it to the 2-3 spots where I have less hair and throw the rest away or should I just use the rest to hit different random spots at every application.

I'm afraid that if I hit random spots once in a while they will shed but I won't get the regrowth.

squirt little dabs straight from the nozzle to the balding areas.

Then you don't have to waste any.

i don't use the cap at all.

from what i hear it doesnt matter how/where you apply it because it will affect the whole scalp once absorbed

i think thats right,im sure someone will be along to confirm or deny this :)

With the liquid minoxidil there is a certain amount of diffusion that goes on beneath the scalp and may affect areas where it wasn't applied. I'm not sure if the same holds true for the foam, although I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be possible.

The foam is essentially a liquid once you put it on your scalp anyways, so I'm sure the same holds true for it. minoxidil will affect the area it is applied and probably anything in close proximity. You could liken it to putting water on a paper towel, the water spreads to cover a greater area due to oversaturation at the source.

I was wondering the same thing. I wouldn't worry about it too much thou. Most people hit random spots when they're applying one mL per day. I probably only get the exact same spot once a week or so.

I came up with a technique that seems to work for me, I just apply it in "lines" and try to hit the spots where there is less hair a little harder. I guess no one can do a perfect job with so little foam
