Hold off rogaine use in fall due to shedding?(summer months)

I've decided to finally start using Minoxidil/Rogaine. Whether my loss is due to extreme stress over the last year, or hereditary, or both, minoxidil should help. It's thinning, receding, and fast, it looks unnatural.

My question, it's now may, I don't want to shed and have an even worse hairline for the peak months of summer.....

Not sure what to do.
