I have been reading about products that say if you use them you will regrow maintain hair. I speak specificaly about Dr. Lewenbergs sh*t. He states that if you use his product you will have healthy hair for life. Well I did and that was before I new the action of minoxidil.
I think it is important to set a misconception straight, minoxidil will not stop hair from falling out. It is simply a re-growth agent and does nothing to stop DHT production, I dont care if it has Retinoic acid or not. You simply must have a DHT blocker to stop further hairloss. I believed in this prodcut for 10 months and in that time I re-grew hair but some areas such as my temples thinned out even more. I believed the hype and thought this was an all in one product that would counter effect hairloss.
All you newbies and first time thinners take warning minoxidil is a re-growth agent and will not stop further hairloss. It is in my opinion a great product that works well but it needs to be combined with Finasteride or a topical like Fluradil or some other that hasnt been invented yet. If I known this a year ago I would be far better off now. I tell this because I was mislead into thinking that minoxidil is a product that would regrow and prevent future hairloss and it is not. Even when you mix it with acne medication it still is not what it is said to be- Go the straight line and get a solid DHT inhibitor along with your minoxidil. The one two punch.
