hypothetical situation.

say you walk into a club with a thick horshoe ring ala george constanza @ 30 with 200% confidence

OR

the same guy walks into a club with a full head of hair (say a hair system) -looks good with it etc.- with 25% confidence

do people think that the uber confidence horshoe guy would do better than the low confidence man with a FHOH?

keep in midn this is horshoe like george constanza or colin mochrie

Entirely depends. First off, the hair thing seem most drastic and important to us hair loss sufferers. Others don't really see it as a massive issue, it's not a health issue, it's just another sign of ageing to everybody else. Anyway, if the guy is really good looking, then the hair loss will probably de-emphasize this in a club situation. However, with the zero confidence, even with more options the guy isn't going to really try it on with any of these girls.

Basically, if he's a baldy going round talking to every girl in the room, chances are, at very least one of them won'tbe put off by the baldness, and his confidence could really impress them.

With the hairy headed guy, he might be more attractive first off but the lack of confidence is going to bring his chances down. Girls that approach the guy might get past his lack of confidence/ perceived lack of substance because of this, because he's a good looking guy. This girl may be hot, but she's not gonna be a great girl otherwise. One night (awkward) stand? Whatever, but it means nothing once it's over. The lack of confidence could otherwise be a good selling point if the guy's a good looker with a full head of hair- he's not arrogant and it's quite charming.

It could go in absolutely any direction, you can't really say what's always gonna be more important when out on the pull- hair or confidence. Personally I think confidence is always more important (I have not lots) as long as it doesn't come of as arrogance or a huge ego. I also think getting rid of the horseshoe and just going completely bald will help heaps.

I have a very shy and wimpish NW1 who looks good and have more girls come up to him than I can ever pull of, no matter how great my confidence is. I get girls, no problem but when it comes to first impression I always have to fight to get in.

It doesnt really matter since Im winning in the end (dhuuu!!!) I can get girls interested past the first impression whereas he bore them to death once they really get to know how predictable and much of a nice guy he really is.

I would choose NW1 with low confidence because apparently confidence can be learned but a full head of real hair can't.

What would you rather have, an idea or something physical? Would you rather make love to the memory of a beautiful woman or the beautiful woman herself?

We all would. If you have the looks and the shyness is the only thing that is holding you back, then all you have to do is change your game which can begin RIGHT NOW!!

All my life I've had neither and the two aren't related. I'm sure someone lacking in confidence with a full head of hair would see it differently and see their lack of confidence as a much bigger problem than somebody else's lack of hair.

True, in my teen years, confidence was a big issue.
I saw many of my peers with looks that only a mother could love still getting girls because they had awesome social skills.
I have a hard time believing "confidence" can be faked or learned. Its something you exude when you are really good at something you are doing. And social skills are not something that is easy to master, specially if you are past your teenage years

Basically there's no right answer of which is better it's just one or the other. Not talking so much about hair loss as opposed to looks in general now, a really good looking guy who's a pretty shy fella (not boring, just initially shy) can seem charming and modest and a great catch, whilst a confident not so great looking guy can seem like a cool level headed guy. A madly confident good looking guy can sometimes look insanely arrogant, whilst a real shy and not great looking guy will just be invisible to people (initially.) It's all about getting past that first impression.

This sums it up...

Hair helps with the first impression, but a bit of hard work can take us beyond the first impression stage :)
