Hot Flashes + Fatigue + Brain Fog after 3 months on finasteride

I have been on 1.25mg of finasteride for 3 months now. Initially the only side affect I had was watery seamen. Over the past 5 days or so, I have been experiencing hot flashes, fatigue, and brain fog. I am concerned that my Testosterone levels are at an all time low while on finasteride.

Any thoughts?

I don't have any scientifical crap but for what it's worth, if I were you I would quit, wait awhile to see how long it takes to get back to normal and then see how you feel about trying a smaller dose. Maybe 0.25mg a day or every other day? I just don't think those sides are worth it.

thanks for your input. half of me says to quit, but the other half says to fight through it and continue! i would take a smaller dose but i am already cutting up a tiny 5mg pill into 4 parts. i am praying to god that these side affects go away...

Fight through it and if it doesn't go in X months (perhaps 6 in total?) then quit.

With many drugs, especially hormone altering ones, your body will need to adjust to it. It took me 3 months before I was "back to normal" and I am fine now.

Good to know :)

Propecia plays with hormones... anything which plays with the body's chemistry will take time to adjust. For some people it's longer than others.

I don't even think about Propecia now, which is why I am here less and less I think. I pop it in my mouth in the morning and forget about it.
