How bad did it get before it got better?

What's up everyone. I've checked out for a while due to frustration, depression, and just the general feeling that I dont want to think about this hairloss crap. My situation with irritation continues, big suprise, and my hairloss has accellerated again. I'm loosing tons of hair that looks extremely unhealthy.

I haven't put PG-free minoxidil on the front part of my scalp for the last 3 days because it's just been itching too much. This week I used aloe every day on the front, and for the last 3 days i've tried emu oil. Both of them seem to make me itch more. Sometimes it feels like someone is sticking pins into my scalp. I now have a nice little bald spot front and center. About 1 inch back form my hairline, and right where a part down the center would be. And yes.. I have a combover. I've grown my other hair longer to hide it. Oh yeah, Nizoral days are the worst; I itch the most on those days.

So everyone says it will get worse before it will get better, and I've been really trying to have hope for some kind of progress. But i'm loosing hope quick. So when did get worse for you? When did it get better? Is there ANY way to slow frontal hair loss?! Should I go to see a doctor about this irritation?

Here's where I'm at with my battle:

. 70 days on Propecia
. 2 months on regular minoxidil - 8 days off because my scalp couldn't take it
. 6 weeks on PG-free minoxidil - 3 days off on my frontal scalp cause it itches too much
. 1 week of folligen - quit cause it irritated too much (PG)
. 10 days of aloe/emu up front - makes me itch more
. 4 months using Nizoral every 3rd day - irritates my scalp
. 4 months using TGEL TSAL - doesn't irritate my scalp
. 3 months taking grapeseed and green tea - doesn't seem to help with irritation.

Not sure what to do from here on out but just give up or get a hair transplant. Sucks because a hair transplant for me would be bad because i'm a full top diffuser. Any advice guys?

I can tell you that Folligen solved all of my scalp problems, including my sensitivity to Nizoral.

If I were you, I would start back on the Folligen spray every night after you have applied all other topicals. Drop the nizoral for a week or two, then try to build up to it slowly. In my experience it is more important to get the folligen working. It will end all itch and all burning from all other topicals including Nizoral.

I know you said the Folligen irritated your scalp, it did for me too, but I think that is because my scalp was imflamed in the first place. Also, when I started, I noticed that if I used too much folligen it hurt a bit. So try just enough to get thorough coverage for the first few days. And ditch everything else except minoxidil until you get on the folligen really well.

The stuff solved all my problems.

Hard to know. www. folligen is a wealth of info on how copper peptides work. Check it out.

It's worth a shot. It doesn't cost much, it just makes your head green. So it might not impress the ladies (skip those nights if you are single). It dries in less than a half an hour and after drying does not seem to make my pillow funky although I don't have white pillow cases.

It only takes a week or two to get your scalp in shape so it's not like you'll be putting this stuff on your head for months waiting for it to work. You'll know after a week or two.
