Been balding since I was 17 I’ve used things here and there but most effective was Finasteride used that less than a year seemed quite effective but was messing with my boner and libdo so gave up, used minoxidil but was so messy and itchy, frustrating. Is there anything I can do rn as it has become so severe. I’ve tried to ignore it for a year and just use hair fibres. Please help.

Hopefully you can see the pics, new here.

How old are you now ?

finasteride would be your best option , are you sure your sides weren’t psychosomatic? Mine were initially , I now take 1mg a day with no sides so it was all mental.

finasteride could halt further hair loss and min could lead to some regrowth . You could shave it ? Or if 35 or older a hair transplant ?

Not the end of the world if you shave it and rock a shaved head look from here on in.

You appear to have nice fringe hair so use duta instead of finasteride and see if it stabilizes but if it does, you could have decent transplants perhaps but the irony is that you need to be on finasteride/Duta for any respectable surgeon to operate. I know this must be terrible as the "sides" of baldness, for many of us, far outstrip anything even to be contemplated compared to rampant hair loss. It's a mystery of Goddess's how MtF's maintain their libidos when they seek to do so but that finasteride causes impotence and loss of libido for "males" and for some, purportedly forever. So either finasteride's sides are systematically under acknowledged or the placebo effect can be huge since you allege things far beyond what I allege for Estrogen and I am on finasteride and Duta both since 2015. Only spironolactone gave me sides which it is wont to do for XY's but this aspect is absent in XX's apparently.

I’m 26, I’m not sure entirely but after about 6 7 months it seemed to just go down hill for my sex drive. Minoxidil is so messy is there any tablet form of that or is it just direct to scalp?

There are two ways to use oral minoxidil instead of topical. You can get a prescription or look off-shore--HRT.cafe-- for it or you can stick it to the man, like Janey does by carefully measuring out topical fluid in a dropper and then drizzling it down your throat. Far cheaper, easier to get and aside from any calibration difficulties, it works fine. My issue is that I was on mega doses so I am now down to 6.25mg daily because the hair everywhere, including my head, is growing quite fast and if oral min restores body hair then I need electrolysis since it's stronger than laser removal but if my hair is restored, the rest is all just noise and there are no sides from any male meds even remotely comparable to the side of not using them, which is either slow, faster or rampant scalp hair loss but now progressed past the abilities of any and all male hair loss treatments.

wait so you use the minoxidil pip dropper thing and squeeze it down your throat? That’s safe/works? You got hair in other places growing as well as your head?

Yes. .25ml of dropper minoxidil is roughly equal to 12.5mg of Loniten although maybe less since Loniten has fillers that might affect dosage a tiny bit. I could tell that liquid min worked great as a Loniten sub or at least a placebo substitute from day one. Right now, lamentably, my legs are really, really hairy and I had them completely done already. My beard is coming back but no hair under my arms. That stopped via HRT and females usually have underarm hair but not me. I had my arms done and they still seem fine. My brows appear to be growing back or looking more male but I never had them done except for plucking. It's bizarrely hit or miss and so when guys ask, it's not a short answer. For most XY's, none of the peripheral hair growth issue is known to be necessarily unwanted, that of thicker beards and chest hair but luckily, not much is growing on my chest and it's all hard to see but I have to do something about these legs or wait for fall.

Theoretically desisting from use would make the new hairs cease to grow but I am not certain about that if the OM reverses laser removal which is a much more follicle-damaging plucking of hair in terms of eradication when compared to electrolysis which hurts like hell some times but most of the time, it is just endless and boring. I did 30 hours and got pretty much only the mustache completely bare.

Or one like it since it is not calibrated except for minoxidil topical dosing. Yes, oral minoxidil can cause something called hypertrichosis which is essentially how we discovered it when it was tested as a blood pressure med taken orally. Then they reverse engineered it apparently for topical use, instead of oral use. Topical use wouldn't set many people to noticing much of anything since it is much less circulated systemically since an enzyme called sulfurotransferase is needed to help induce growth and oral minoxidil does this via the liver. Topical use has to depend on whatever amount of sulfurotransferase is available in the scalp for it to work well.

thanks for that, I don’t really understand anything about it, I just heard finasteride and min are the best things. I’ll take a look into this tomorrow and maybe try it. What do you think of micro needling does that work, if so do you think I’m late for that?

Being brutally honest here but you have advanced stage of balding. I don't think finasteride/ dutasteride + rogaine is guaranteed to regrow everything. I am 31 and I noticed recession at 30. Been on finasteride for 3 months and I shed and still see no signs of regrowth. Keep in mind that my hair loss is nowhere near as aggressive and I'm still losing ground.

Your best bet is a hair transplant at this point with a really good surgeon. It will be expensive.

You did use finasteride and got side effects. I hate to say this but you ultimately had a choice. Deal with the side effects or lose your hair as finasteride is the only legitimate treatment. You could have tried titrating your dose with a pill cutter and have better hair than what you have now. Oral minoxidil or topical minoxidil are adjunct treatments but ultimately you need an anti androgen.

You don't have a picture from up front but it seems like you are thinning at the hairline too. You are basically a norwood 5 which is very severe and I wouldn't be shocked if surgeons reject you for operation unless you have appropriate expectations.

No. You're not too late but:

You barely have time for microneedling but you need duta then since it might not have signs or even sides for you. Otherwise, microneedling isn't fun; it's similar to tooth brushing except I shoot for five minutes each time and brushing teeth is mostly boring maintenance, unfortunately, and I wasted tooth brushing time pining for hair. It should work for you especially with oral min and duta but you need to start to preserve what you can and then regrowth on your areas from duta, OM and microneedling would not be unusual but many guys do it for six months and have great pics and then mysteriously stop so again, the mind of the balding man tends to be impenetrable in terms of pursuing hair-happy goals. Where else in life is a decision where if you wait six months to nine months without deciding on treatment you have lost the very ability to even decide? Many guys opt for baldness because they know they can't do this like me, chasing hair with meds and treatments for 37 years. Who could ever be like me? There's @bridgeburn who's still famous on hair albeit with his thread dying and there's me and that's it pretty much. Rob Winter could only find two trannies that had substantial hair restoration. We have one study related to MtF's with only one person with great interim pics but still not near leaving her wig and that's it. There's a lot of MtF gossip about not understanding why HRT didn't help their hair. Could it be the microneedling? But Bridge did everything the same as me in terms of pushing E2 levels but he never microneedled so there might be genes that make even restoration of hair easier in terms of say, how nice would my hair have been as a female and my 80 year old mother has beautiful long tastefully colored hair. My father has every last hair at 83 but he's finally getting grizzled and gray unlike Will and Janey.

Anything, please DM me and I will try to provide insight with the real effects of most treatments since I have done all of the treatments that work, pretty much, yes. Maybe you need the pity of Goddess for this to work but I do orientate my beliefs now towards a female divinity and She's much nicer than the guys hurling thunderbolts.

In fairness you have more to gain the more you have lost. It is rare to see people succeed up front (hairline and temple) but I have seen some crazy good crown recovery.

You need about 3/4000 grafts and then take finasteride or dutasteride. Hit Turkey and get your life back on track.. we only pass through this life once, we don’t come back for an encore

Thinkin bout that but skeptical on finasteride. Getting married within 8 months so have to keep some cash for that so maybe if nothing works right now I’ll do it after that. I’ve been getting a lot of things I can do like micro needle, head excersies, 20,000 iu d3 and K2, minoxidil etc just need to know which one I’ll have a good chance with and stick to it for a while and see what happens
