Hey guys, 17 year old losing hair, just want you to evaluate my picture, tell me how bad it is and the cause of my hairloss (male pattern baldness?) and any treatment. Plz help me out as I am too young to be going bald. My hair are really really dry and has a lot of flakes. When i run my hair through my head, flakes come off and dry skin sometimes come off as well, my hair also come off and it usually doesn't have any white bulb (it normally have no bulb or small black bulb). my hair itch a lot all the time and it only calms down for 4-5 hours after washing my hair, and the itchiness come back.

Your hair loss isn't that bad, Minor temple recession on left, The right temple appears to be thinning but looks more normal, First photo also looks like a section is thinning. Other than that nothing major at all. Just keep an eye on it. Also it appears your hair is wet right ??? When hair is wet it is normal to see parts of your scalp. Take some pics of your hair dry with nothing in it if you can.

It doesn't look bad yet to me, but make sure to keep taking pictures frequently from all angles and degrees of wetness so you can see any differences and if you decide to do treatments eventually (minoxidil, propecia etc) you can bring the pictures into a specialist or doctor.

Story sounds a bit like my story. Go asap to a doctor you might have seborrheic dermatitis or psiorais. Although most people think its not connected to male pattern baldness, i still think seborrheic dermatitis made my male pattern baldness a lot worse.

For a 17 year old, that does look kind of thin....

Welp, find yourself a wife soon, it'll be near impossible later on.

went to my gp this week, she said its due to dandruff and dryness in my hair, which I have a lot of it, and that could be the reason why my hair is falling off (with my scalp skin falling off). She said my hair is thinning but it looks fine and there isn't any bald patches so she can't say its male pattern baldness and can only treat if she see male pattern baldness or something. I also think she mentioned that there isn't any treatment for male pattern baldness or something, I didn't mention propecia or minoxidl (wish i had). She prescribed me 'capasal therapeutic shampoo' and told me to try this shampoo and come back after a month.
Me personally, I don't think gp really know much about hair loss (sorry if it sounded arrogant) and as much as I want my hair loss to be just due to dandruff and dryness, I think its male pattern baldness acting on and dandruff and dryness is just a coincident.
I do have a lot of dandruff on my hair and my hair has been really dry and weak and thinned, I just took a shower and used this shampoo, and my scalp and hair hurt (especially the back top of my head), I think i saw approximately about 20-30 hairs falling out (easily over 10). I don't know how to explain this but the side of my head feels empty when i run my hand up against the side of my head, like I am trying to spike my hair up from the side, and the hair is really thin. Sorry, I just ramble a lot.
I would take pics of my dried hair, sorry i have been quite busy so I couldn't reply, and thank you all of you.

No you are correct GP's in general don't know jack **** about male pattern baldness and even some dermatologists. I think most of us here are not looking for answers more of prescriptions from them.

In absolute terms your hairloss is just about enough to be noticable but in relative terms (as in relation to your age) that IS quite the hairloss. It won't get any better unless you do something and considering that you've begun so early it will be rather agressive and thus quick.
