Oxford Online Pharmacy
I just had a look at the FAQ section of Oxford Online Pharmacy, and unfortunately they don't ship to outside the UK. I'm guessing it is not legal for a UK pharmacy to ship prescription drugs to customers in other countries.Hi Michael,
I'm in the US.
Am I allowed to buy prescription drugs from the UK and have them shipped here?
I have no insurance but have been able to get scripts for medicines from a family friend who is a doctor. I get my Propecia script from them.
I did actually get an Avodart script from them as well - but it cost me 600 dollars for 90 pills....
They will be retiring soon so I'd like to figure out another option.
I'm glad that worked for you. But for a lot of guys, it takes a bit of courage attempting to get a face-to-face prescription for finasteride/dutasteride from a GP, especially if like myself, they don't have the best communication skills, and there is also no guarantee the GP would willingly write the prescription. GPs can often be difficult to communicate with or negotiate with. It is good that here in the UK, several pharmacies like Oxford Online Pharmacy offer an online prescription process with an online doctor who will write you a prescription. If the prescription is approved, you can purchase your meds on their site and they will mail them to you. It is all entirely legal and regulated. Oxford charge £100 for a six month supply of dutasteride, with the prescription itself and the shipping both being free. I would consider this to be extremely affordable.I'm in the UK. I'm very lucky, I spoke to the kindest doctor at my GP. I told her I was going to be taking the drug anyway, but I was going to be paying a lot more ordering it online. I asked if there was any way she could get it for me on prescription. She said no at first, but then she just added it to my list of prescriptions recently.
It doesn't hurt to be a little emotional if you need to with you GP, express how much it matters to your mental health, it's not like you'd be lying, and that you would be getting the drug anyway. Can't hurt to try.
I agree that it is better to get it domestically if you can. But for some people on here, it is difficult, impractical or too costly to get it within their own countries. Dutasteride isn't even available in some countries. For these individuals, getting it from India is the easiest route, and sometimes the only available route. There are online consults with docs that don’t mind writing the script. There not that hard to find if you take the time to look. Why get something from India when you can just walk down the street and get it safely at the same place you have been getting all your meds for the past 5 years. Plus if something bad were to happen you have recourse. Good luck taking somebody to court that is in India.
I will be using Oxford too in the future. They seem to be the most affordable of all the British online pharmacies that offer dutasteride.Yeah im lucky to be from the uk, you can just fill out a simple form and get it next day, i use oxford online pharmacy. I intend on going to see my doctor in the next couple of years to see if i can get it prescribed to me.They wouldn't even prescribe me finasteride last time i asked because of mental health problems i have but if i tell them i have been taking dutasteride for years with no ill effects im hoping they will change their mind.
