I have a condition due to which I cannot take minoxidil. What else can I use for hair and beard?

You can't

Or maybe microneedling

@pegasus2 what is your experience with microneedling the skin while on minoxidil?

Microneedling or not, minoxidil wrecks my skin.

I'm afraid there isn't anything you can do for your beard if you can't use minoxidil. On your scalp you might get some benefit from using anything that upregulates HIF-1, such as stemoxydine. That won't inhibit collagen production. Estrogen is another option, but of course that would be even worse for your beard. Basically, if you can't grow a beard naturally you never will unless you use minoxidil.

Yes that's what i though, sadly microneedling is not powerful enough to counteract collagen inhibition caused by minoxidil

For the beard there is topical castor oil too. It worked great for my beard in the past

But since it increases pge2, it will propably destroy collagen

How well does minoxidil work on the beard btw?

It works way better on beard than on head :D
I only get a bit of hair at the chin and under my nose and maybe a bit near the ears. That's it. I can't really imagine that it will give satisfying results for cases like me tbh.

Bear? You want beard? Why do you want beard? I hate my beard. I wish I didn't grow beard and I want to get rid of it forever and you want to grow it.

I had no hair on my cheeks and in a few months I can tell where my beard line is supposed to be. Unfortunately I won't be able to use it anymore so there's that

I don't have any personal experience with it, but there's a reddit for beard growth, and some of them have grown beards on complete baby faces.
