How do you apply the foam with long hair?

Yeah, i am having this problem. i mean foam is easy to use on the hairline, but behind it I am having problems due to my long hair. most ends up between the hairs instead of getting to the scalp. How do you deal with this? At the moment I am also using the liquid minoxidil in the back and foam on the hairline.

Thank you in Advance

I use a comb to part my hair in a line from my hairline to crown, then apply a small blob straight from the can to my scalp, do a few blobs enough so that when I rub them in it covers the entire parting line and skin a few cm around it. Let the foam melt a bit first so that you are massaging liquid in and not pure foam. I use 3 lines all the way from hairline to crown, one from the left temple, one from the middle of the hairline, and one from the right temple. I also use 2 parts in between each temple and middle partings, but only apply down to the mid scalp.

Lol that was way too detailed, but it's the only way I can ensure I'm getting minoxidil everywhere with the foam. Problem with this is you use way too much minoxidil, and end up feeling lightheaded etc. I've had to cut back to once per day now since it was doing that, and I was shedding loads. Using liquid on the crown at night instead so that I can get a 1ml dose.

Lol, yeah, I also end up using a lot more than 1 ml when I am trying to foam my hair. I think the easiest way might still be to just use liquid minoxidil in the back. It might even be cheaper.

wet your hair and divide it into partings with a comb

yeah i have the same problem, my hair is quite long and applying it to the crown is very difficult, I usually stick the nozzle of the rogaine foam bottle straight to the thinner area at the roots using the nozzle to push some hair aside and simultaneously push the button. Im not always 100% consistant with dosage or area i apply it. But once its on there i use the tips of my fingers to push and gently massage it into my skelp. I dont wash my hair for 2-3 days and ive disovered leaving the minoxidil on the hair shaft actually doesnt harm it in any way. Applying to the hair line is easy coz you just gotta hold it back with your hands.
