What do you do to cope? Have you ever come to terms with your hairloss or acceptance?

My life literally just stopped and shattered to pieces.

I will not leave the house. I've had to go on disability from my job due to the depression and anxiety it's caused me.

Completely shut down and derailed my life.

I honestly never see myself being happy again. Just ultimately forced to live my life feeling inferior, ugly and unattractive.

What is the point of living if you despise and hate yourself. Knowing you can't do a God damn thing to change it besides spending 10's of thousands on surgeries and forced to take meds with severe side effects.

Hairloss and baldness is more than a "cosmetic issue"

I wish it was f*****g taken more seriously and more money and research was put into a cure.

Watching other people living normal lives and being happy not worrying about a genetic defect pains me.

If only they could experience the trauma and torment hair loss causes.

I have a pretty cool job, so that keeps me going.

I also follow the developing technologies a lot.

Have you ever thought of suicide?

I seriously can not believe how hair loss/premature balding has taken away my ability to enjoy life.

I am ashamed and embarrassed to exist.

I cope by applying minoxidil, RU, nizoral, and hoping for the best with Brotzu and Histogen.

Bobster how old are you and what's your Norwood?

She's a good looking woman,
and she will look even better tomorrow evening,
when I'm balder than today.

I'm 27 with a Norwood 3.5 vertex. Approaching Norwood 4 territory.

Shookwun my hair loss has been extremely rapid. People asking if i'm sick. I went from a Norwood 2 to a Norwood 3.5 vertex in a span of 2 and a half months.

Do you have any pictures? That's very extreme.

Coping directly with the hairloss: By mastering the combover, wearing hats, getting on meds, and scheduling a transplant...living with the parents and living more cheaply than I have the last few years in order to pay it off as quickly as possible.

I've recently become semi-active with the females again after 2 years of initial devastation and massive self-esteem crash...I attribute this partly to my adaptation and mastery of the combover. It took a good amount of trial and error, but I've kind of figured out how to make the best of what I still have at the moment and create the illusion that I still have a full head of hair, to the point I can leave the house without constantly being anxious as to whether people will notice I'm balding....but it's still inconvenient and much easier to just wear hats lol

Aren't you like 5'6?

Mixed with hair loss that must be hard to ensure. Maintain your hair at all costs.

Short and bald equals celibate

Yes, but I still have 7/10's interested in me, which I can only take to mean that the combover is properly deceiving them...I will ride it out until my transplant, probably be celibate for 6 months after while I hide behind a hat, and hopefully resume with women of the same quality and possibly higher

With hair/the illusion of it, I am handsome, and my physique is top tier in spite of my stature

Without hair....yeah, don't really want to think about it

I do a variation of the 90's curtained hair as displayed by Matt Damon here:

matt-damon-good-will-hunting-1997-ef8h8y.jpg

Top, particularly the front grown out long, parted towards the middle so my hairline is only exposed where it's still at a respectable spot on my forehead.

Doing it as an undercut with faded sides also helps to draw attention away from any thinness. Sometimes I'll hairspray the sides of the front to ensure they don't blow off and expose my temples.

It's not exactly a killer style of 2016, but it's the best I've been able to come up with for my situation.

Honestly? I just go full degenerate. I've always noticed that men my age are always primping and preening, all self-absorbed. Sure I tried my best to do the same, but I was never very good at it. Now that I might be balding, I don't have to play that game at all anymore.

It also made me realize something. Beyond growing it out a little, and then cutting it, I never did anything with it anyway. I never styled it, or got fancy haircuts, it just sort of hung out and did what it wanted.
