Do you think men tend to have a "genetic speed" for it?

I look at guys like Ed O'Neill. Over 30 years ago on Married With Children he obviously shown signs of male pattern balding, and has continued to lose hair to this day, but still isn't fully bald nw7.

Other examples are Jack Nicholson and Clint Eastwood.

I know these guys didn't use finasteride to slow it down since it didn't exist.

So it seems some men just "woosh" and they are now 6 or 7 by around age 30 and some just creep along very slowly for decades.

It is all about skull anatomy and surrounding muscles . if you got fucked up genes then bad skull shape and chronic muscles tension upregulate balding genes which are sensitive to DHT. People with high forehead and egg shaped head bald quickly and those with small forehead and flat skulls bald slowly.

I've noticed that, although there are people in my family who have smaller foreheads but diffuse thin horribly...

Each hair follicle is at a different stage of the growth cycle: anagen, catagen or telogen. So some people go bald within a few years because most of their follicles on top are programmed to produce thinner and thinner hairs, whereas others may get a receding hairline early but keep everything else for decades.

It’s the same thing with the pattern. Why do some lose their temples first? Why do others lose their crown first? Why do some never lose any hair? Genetics are an evil curse to some of us which either we go along with and accept, or we fight using every possible method out there.

The theory regarding skull anatomy and surrounding muscles is not proven. It is possible there could be some truth to it, but more research is needed.

Ultimately, the age at which you will start losing your hair as well as the rate and pattern of progression is all encoded in your DNA. Certain lifestyle choices can either speed it up or slow it down slightly such as your diet and whether you are a smoker, but it is mostly genetic.

As it is a genetic condition, it needs to be treated by using powerful synthetic drugs specifically designed for their purpose. Natural products are of very little use in treating this genetic condition.

I've read this theory and it had nothing to do with skull shape or foreheads

It's about how much tension is applied to your scalp, and nothing indicates that "flat skulls" (the f*** is a flat skull anyway) induce a lesser tension or whatever you're implying
