I have been experiencing sudden hair loss after moving states. I have been reading online and came across some articles that hard water may be the cause. I am looking into buying a shower filter, any suggestions? anyone with the same experience?

Eh. Not likely. By what process would hard water cause sudden hair loss? Hair loss is always sudden when you first observe it and this is because you have to lose about half of follicle density before it is apparent that anything is even wrong to begin with. That's why I urge people to pay attention to diminishing hair quality as a tell-tale sign of impeding hair loss.

hi, oh yes! hard water is definitely the cause, I had a similar experience when I moved to the west coast. we installed a Captain Eco Shower Filter and it helped a lot reversing my hair loss and the quality of my hair improved as well. hope this helps!

Chemical water with calcium deposits can have an effect on the environment of your scalp and hair. I have reverse osmosis and water softner by Kinetico, this works great.
