Hey guys, I've recently ordered some genereic propecia and I'm really hoping for good luck with it. One thing I've been wondering is how likely are you to maintain the amount of hair you currently have on finasteride? I'm 18 and already my hairline and parts on my crown is thinning a decent amount, so my genes are not the best. Is there anyone with a similar testimony that has tried finasteride and seen hairloss halt long term?

I've read about people getting on at 19 and doing well for about 10-12 years, then they slowly start to notice the hairloss kick in, usually slowly. my brother got on at 23 and he's full nw2 at 30, better than when he started. But he just responded well, I'm 8 months in and slightly below baseline at 24, and there's similar stories of others in my situation.

I don't think anyone can tell you how long you'll personally hold onto your hair on the drug, but the odds are def in your favour based on the studies. And I also think the earlier you treat it the better it is.
