I googled "toupe", looking for articles about social acceptability. Very few. Mostly just ads selling them.

One person said if your scalp is showing when your toupe is not on right, it is not as bad as your fly being open. I disagree.
Also many performers and rock groups with the name Toupe. Page after page. I keep adding minus signs, but not finging articles on actual toupes. Will add hair to my search list.
Just one or two females, supposedly, but they say perms and manicures are really bad. Shows you can't get reliable information from random rants on the internet.
