how long does it take for propecia to ware off?

Hi Everyone,

I've been on Propecia for around 2 years. I started due to loosing my hair from past relationship giving me Body Dysmorphic Disorder but i'm glad to say i'm well on the mend.

I've seen my hair regrow thanks to propecia 1mg over 2 years but i've just about lost all my sex drive becuase of it. I have a new girl friend who is very understanding.

I would like to reduce the amount of propecia that i'm taking but I was wondering if anyone knew how long it take to ware off?

Propecia has a short half life so its it will be out of the system in days if you stop taking it

Do not stop taking it though if you have seen it reduce your hairloss which I guess you have it you've bee taking it 2 yrs

Start reducing the dose. Go to 0.5mg per day for a few weeks and see if that helps your sides for libido. If it doesn't improve then reduce again to 0.25mg per day.

You do realise tho that its no pain no gain. unfortuatnely sides are often a part of taking it to improve hair. Don't throw away 2yrs of regieme.

If this does not work then you could switch to dutasteride and see what sides are like on that. I had bad sides on finasteride and none on dutasteride so just cos dutasteride is the stronger drug does not mean to say sides will be stronger.

my advice to you im a personal trainer and i think people that only ever get affected by low libido is because their test levels are to low. start a heavy weight lifting regime 3 times a week and take supplements high in L arginine like no xplode for a month or superpump 250. the weight lifting should raise your test levels up and give u that extra lift u need for your gf or wife. the supplements are not mandatory but will def help your guy out. nitric oxide and argine are great blood stimulator's and help alot with low libido. i strongly warn you not to reduce your 1mg of propecia a day if you have had great results. o and your gf is not gona be to understanding for to long haha, so try what i said it helped many i know personally. and dont be scared to raise your test levels people think if you double your test = double your dht and thats not the case ask bryan if you don't believe me ive seen him state many times double test levels wont raise your dht levels much at all if your on a blocker like finasteride.
