So why cant you donate blood until 1 month is passed ?

Also i read in the web of the best hair surgeon of my country that finasteride takes 2-3 months to clear from the blood.

There have been recommendations to shorten the deferral period, but a month was what the FDA recommended for whatever reason. I believe the recommendation was to shorten it to 3 days. I guess better safe than sorry in their book when it comes to drugs that affect pregnancies. The surgeon you mentioned is mistaken; maybe he is misinterpreting the clinical info that details the 5-a Reductase (complex) elimination half-life, which is 30 days.
