On Monday I'm going to get a prescription for propecia. I've done a fair bit of research, and I've read various opinions on how long the preliminary "test-run" of the drug should be. Some people have claimed you should take it for one full year to see if you recieve results, does this sound accurate??

Yeah 12 months. If you cant commit to this then its best not to start.

what u term as results? shedding stoppage + regrowth?

firstly Let me tell u u dont tneed to wait one year to see the signs of propecia working, u just need a few months or even weeks. heres why

The first indication that Propecia is working comes in the form of the male pattern baldness itch decreasing or gone completely

Here's something interesting: After taking dutasteride for a while then stopping due to side effects, I slowly started to get this sort of cold feeling after a few months, like there was a constant breeze being blown on my head. I knew right away that dht was starting its dirty deeds again. Sure enough, when I started taking finasteride 3 weeks ago, I almost immediately lost the cold feeling. My scalp itches a little from time to time, but that's GOOD, because that's how it iched when I was taking dutasteride with good results on hair.
