Hi all,
ive been using finateride for 2 months. I started at 0.5mg which was well tolerated, before then boosting to 1mg after a month. Within the past week ive been hit with cases of ED that are out of the ordinary for me. Im 21 years old fit and healthy so i assume finasteride is to blame. My question is unfortunately i didnt get bloods done before starting, so i want to know if i stop taking finasteride- how long will it take for my hormonal profile to return to baseline? After this i plan to retake bloods to know my baseline and then see what is causing this ED when recommencing finasteride. My hope is that down the line i could make educated adjustments based on my blood work (comparing baseline to finasteride bloods) to control for factors such as elevated estrogen while still taking finasteride into the future.
what are your guys opinion or advise on this plan? I curse my derm for not making me get bloods done. Really set me up for failure- but i do wish to continue finasteride because i am seeing promising results so far just 2 months in.
