How long?

Hi all,

So im contemplating doing the hair transplant but worried about recovery time and the scar...can some of you that have done the procedure chime in and discuss how long did it take you to fully recover and whether you're having any issues with the scar? What are pros/cons for you post procedure?

I haven't had it done but I have the same issues, the scar being the biggest one.

FULLY recover will have to be better defined. Back to how you were before will be about 4 weeks. It takes a bit for the transplanted hairs to scab and fall out (2-4 weeks). For me the scar was no issue at all, keep your hair an inch long and seriously it was unnoticeable when I came home (but my physician has a technique to let hair grow through the incision to help hide it). The issue was the transplanted hairs.... they look awkward being short, and in front of the hairline you already have, and they may be possibly red and irritated. 4 weeks and you're probably back to your "normal" 2 weeks if you have enough hair to cover you can pull it off.
