How many men here started to get gyno once they started finasteride?

probably less than 1% but you can bet that if they read this they'll be sure to pipe up and warn you of the danger of this poison evil drug!

You'll most likely have sexual side effects before you develop gynecomastia, and if that happens, you'll know for sure. It's very painful when lumps begin to grow around your chest. I had sexual side effects within the first month, which gradually got worse, and I was hit by gynecomastia 3 - 4 months in.

hey, who cares about gyno and erectile disfunction when you can stop hair loss, right?

Or you can take the pill and have neither and have your hair stop falling out. Chances are in favor of this happening as opposed to gyno and ed.

No gyno, no ed. Slightly less ejaculate and slightly lower libido however. Also body hair isn't as thick which is a good thing imo.

No, it's about knowing what causes the side effects, and taking care of them before they advance to the stage where recovery is unlikely without drug support.

me after 4-5 months. My estrogen level was way to high while taking finasteride.
Here is my bloodwork:

And yeah, I sure was one of the 1%.

Interesting. Which symptoms did you have, and how is it now? No baseline values?

no pro-finasteride bloodwork unfortunately. however, you can see that my estrogen was much lower in every "after quitting" bloodtest.

I just noticed that my left breast was bigger after 4 months or so. I first I thought it was imagination, but than I read up that one sided gyno/lypo was very common. So I quit. Didn't have sexual sides. However, after quitting my libido was very low and it hasn't changed much. (except for the period where I was taking zinc, this stuff really works, so I might start it again)

Yeah, I was wondering some months ago, if prolactin actually plays a larger role regarding libido and erectile dysfunction than estrogen, but I didn't get any answer before now.

How long ago was the last blood test done? If your estrogen level is still out of range, you should go for a low dose of arimidex instead if zinc. Only 0.25 mg once or twice a week, and see how you feel within a couple of weeks. Your prolactin level is also too high in my opinion, and you should use 0.25 mg cabergoline twice a week for a month, to deplete the level completely. That's before initiating treatment with anastrozole. Doing so, won't affect you negatively in any way.

I have developed a protocol which is safer and more appropriate, based on my hypothesis - which your blood values seems to confirm, but it's a little bit harder to get hold of the drug which is needed. With those blood values, you would be perfect. Where do you live?

I honestly developed it within 5 days of starting. In my case, I knew because my nipples began itching, and then they would hurt when touched by my shirt and when I tried to sleep at night. After a week, I could feel a few lumps in each pec. Obviously, I stopped propecia, and all of this went away after a few weeks. I tried again a few months later just to see if it was a fluke, but I had the same exact reaction on the same exact timeline.

I'm not saying this is common. I must have been extremely prone to this one side effect. Kind of glad that I found out so quickly, though, with no long-term effects.

I've always had it even before finasteride, I weigh 170 and I'm 5'10'' with a stout build so it's obviously not due to my weight... I have small B cups or large A cups, I'm losing my hair, and my head has bumps on it. Then you add in occasional acne and it's a disaster.
