Try "never".

If someone got the time, it would be nice to have a database for each and every "may be the solution to hair regrowth) with title, year, company/researcher, solution description, solutionm product. Of course the field for solution product would be "No" in each of these cases....

Great, another when is the cure coming thread. Like we don't get 10 of those a month by noobies that need to be castrated.

In fact, new rule, noobies opening similar thread as this are to be castrated surgically.

I've been reading threads on this forum nearly 10 years...back then the cure was only "5 years away" LOL...Doesn't look promising for us, unless a miracle happens best we can hope for is our kids or grandchildren won't have to worry about going bald.

I think the key is to promote it as a womans health issue. As Hellouser says, people don't care about mens health. And by care I mean spend time or money on it.

Post menopausal women lose hair just like we do, and they spend a lot of money on cosmetic treatments. Whatever cures female hair loss will definitely work for us and won't turn us into eunuchs.

Were you drunk when you wrote this?
Female hair loss is TOTALLY different, dude, they have no DHT, i haven't seen a postmenopausal NW5 woman, have you seen?
People don't care about men's health? Wtf?
Hairloss is not even a HEALTH issue, is only cosmetic.
And yeah, dudes should not be that bothered by their appearance as women do, this is the only true thing.

Comparatively, awareness and treatment of male specific issues lag behind (higher suicide rates and more occupational health risks for example).

Hairloss is not even a HEALTH issue, is only cosmetic.

Is depression a health issue? Is having small breasts a health issue? You can have a breast operation paid for by the National Health Service in the UK.

And yeah, dudes should not be that bothered by their appearance as women do, this is the only true thing.
Why?

I disagree. Hair loss can wreck a young guys life! Especially when you are starting out in life like trying to go to college. Also, the majority of the population is ignorant to exactly what genetic hair loss is. People think it is somehow due to a personal inadequacy or something. They think you are sickly, have poor hygiene or you were just destined to be creepy.

Is this true? I would be livid if A breast operation we're covered by the govt., but not a hair transplant. Think about it. Yeah it would cost a fortune to pay for hair transplant's for bald men, but think about the positive effect it would have on the govt. by getting these guys back out in the world and functioning.

Depression is the real killer
It is hard for me to imagine what type of person , I would have been without the hairloss. Luckly I can use toppik, what did the previous generation to when they couldnt use toppik? However, it of course affect me how I act among me surrounding, and because I use toppik. I havent been able to have a girlfriend since I started with it.

Wow, A cure would save lifes, hairloss is a straight road to depression for many. Especially, young people that starts losing their hair early like me.

I seriously dont understand why there is no cure for baldness, no hair cloning, no new treatments, still no cure for hair loss. Only temporary treatments for few years.

When people started to use Propecia in 1997 i was playing GTA 1 and nine years old, i am 26 years old now(NW3) and playing GTA 5. People are still using propecia as their best weapon against baldness.

Complicated Organ + almost no research = no cure and slow progress.

There are other reasons... plus I don't think it's THAT complicated, not like a heart or lung or anything. I attribute the lack of a cure due to the fact that it's predominantly a man's health issue and therefor seen with significantly less priority. If it we're a woman's health problem though, things would move WAY faster.

This plus the fact that most people who aren't sufferers themselves don't see it as a problem at all.
