How much shedding or am I paranoid?

Hey been on finasteride since june and minoxidil since the end of july...And I have small hairs growing on my hairline...But what is confusing me is that some of the hairs that fall out when I shower are small black hairs that look quite thick as well as long hairs that look pretty thin and unhealthy...

The question is should I be losing what looks like to be small thick hairs? Also after I have showered I am now starting find about 40-50 hairs is that about right or too many for being on finasteride? (its after shampoo and conditioner...)

My take on it is that showering loosens the hairs whether they are thick or thin. But I am assuming that there is a greater ratio of thin hairs in the sink. I think maybe you should comb your hair midday after work to gauge a more accurate reading. Only if you don't use any styling products which causes you to pull out hair thin or thick
