If you're using a 5% solution (50 mg/mL), this equates to 2.5 mg of systemic minoxidil if you apply 1 mL. People who take oral minoxidil often take half of that dose or less. So isn't it possible that you're actually taking less minoxidil orally than what is getting into your bloodstream with the topical medication?
thanks

That's might be true but you must consider that if you are taking it orally all absorbed minoxidil will go straight to the liver where minoxidil is converted into minoxidil sulfate while if you put it on your head it go to the bloodstream and can be excrete.
