How Powerful is the mind?

Well, it sounds crazy, but I came to think about it, after I watched "the secret", where this women cured herself from breast cancer with her mind or the guy who had this airplane accident and walked out before Christmas and even the doctors didn't have an explanation and then there are of course studies, where people have regrown hair even though they were on the placebo.

Chris. The problem is that we can never rule out alternative causes for the regrowth, such as diet, lifestyle and health changes.

Wouldn't it take a drastic change in a diet to gain regrowth and even that is questioned by science isn't it?
