How to apply topical liposomal Finasteride

For those of you who are using topical liposomal Finasteride, how do you apply it and rub it into your scalp if you've still got a lot of your hair left? Doesn't it just get in your hair? It seems much more complicated than a liquid solution. I tried searching YouTube for a video, this must be the one thing that YouTube doesn't have a tutorial on.
