How to overcome gyno on finasteride, high progesterone

How to overcome gyno and high progesterone after stopping finasteride?

Any experience/help plz?

For gyno problems, you can opt for some Aromatase inhibitors (AIs) like Letrozole or Anastrozole, or some SERMS like Raloxifene / Tamoxifen.





If you go the AIs route, be very careful and start with the smallest dose possible (for example one dose every Monday, Wednesday, Friday). Only increase your dosage if there was no apparent progress after 2-3 months. Taking it very slow is the best approach because AIs can cause hairloss due to the loss of estrogen in the scalp (amongst other side effects).




For the SERMS route, Raloxifene is preferred over Tamoxifen due to the formal being less harsh on how it modulates the Estrogen Receptors in the scalp. It's generally okay to follow the usual dosage for Raloxifene from the start.




Progesterone levels aren't typically of concern, unless you suspect that you have an adrenal disorder.

I have had people post who claim that Letrozole threw their hair into free fall. Some say whey does and some say that those anabolic milkshakes do.

It might go away by itself. MtF's often lose some or most of breast growth when desisting from hormones. Anything less than a B cup can fade in time but there's a point where you know that nothing is likely to do much although some claim Serms can deflate at least some breast tissue.

I mean in my case, I tried one last time to be male and I lost virtually all of what I had which was say a B cup. When I went back on the sauce, my breasts were primed so I think you only get one chance to deflate so use it wisely! I don't know how long to tell you to wait but you can contact me again if that doesn't work and we can discuss Serms.

Does lowering estrogen elevate/raise progesterone as they are antagonists?

I mean in my case, I tried one last time to be male and I lost virtually all of what I had which was say a B cup. When I went back on the sauce, my breasts were primed so I think you only get one chance to deflate so use it wisely! I am MtF. I started finasteride in maybe 1998. I started Duta along with it in 2015 and I was using both until this year when finasteride seemed duplicative but insurance paid anyway since MtF's get great coverage in Maryland, including adam's apple reduction, vocal cord shortening, SRS and breast augmentation which sucks since I don't need that, lol. I have used AA's and and T-lowering meds like MPA. I had a crummy transplant that didn't take well and looked in some places like baby doll hair but derma-rolling healed all of my scar tissue so I tout it for that even more so than hair growth. I started balding at 19, so check on that. I was one of the very first Min guys. If I had been born five years earlier, I would have been a cueball so I was lucky that min came out when I was in college. It took a couple of years before it was easy to get so yes, I have that.
