How To Safely Stop Taking Finasteride?

Can you just stop it at once (cold turkey) or do you need to ween off it. I am on 1mg btw. It hasn't done anything, I am still losing hair just as much as I was before after a year and a half of taking it. I haven't got sides yet but I am going to stop because it isn't doing anything anyways. How can I safely stop to reduce the chances of getting post finasteride syndrome?

Maybe give it longer, but your choice. Most people say to slowly lower the dose over a long time to give time for body to adjust back to normal hormone levels.
Does it matter? No one has a clue. Reducing it slowly might help people think its doing something like a placebo, but the reality is no one knows.

I think you should taper. Go from 1mg to .5mg for a week, then .25mg for two weeks and then stop. If you get PFS you then reevaluate.

Start by spacing by a day or 2, after a week move to .25 every other day and third week take it .25 3 x a week, that’s how I come off when I do and have never had any issues
