I've had a cowlick and a high hairline for as long as I can remember, but my OCD has really kicked in lately and I've spent a lot of time worrying about the future of my head. It's immediately obvious when I hold my hair back (I usually wear bangs) how much higher and more receded my hairline is compared to other guys I see in college.
It's been like this for a long time, though, and my hair is very thick, so I want to believe that I'm not receding.

What norwood am I? Do I even fit on the scale? Is there any reliable way to tell whether I have male pattern baldness? I've read about getting miniaturization mapping done at a hair transplant clinic, can someone explain this?
as far as genetics go, I'm at risk, but maybe there's some hope
maternal grandfather: went bald young
maternal uncle: NW2 well into 40s
paternal grandfather: NW1 into old age
father: bald by early 20s, but an anomaly within his family
paternal uncle: permanent NW2
half-brother (father's side): NW3 until his 30s, then NW4
I tried finasteride last year and ended up with some nasty sides (and a sex drive that hasn't quite gotten back to full strength), so right now I'm researching non-big three solutions to at least slow any recession so I can have hair for my 20s.
