How to test Dutas and other generic Avodart

Don't send a pill to a lab. They will probably laugh at you. Instead, have your doctor test your blood level. They can't stop you from buying Dutas, right? Do you think your doctor will call the police? Or turn you down for a test that could save you from super low serum DHT levels? No way. Compare your blood level to what it should be on a 0.5 ng/mL dose per day for the number of days you have taken it. If you don't know what it should be, post your concentration on here and I'll compare it to a chart I have. I saved it in MS paint and don't know where I got it from. I'll try the properties option... nope. Just says how much space on my disk. It is probably better that way, since many people here need to know. I'll search my history later.

I suspect a few Dutas reps will post that their levels are fine, since FDA.gov says most fakes come from india, and that half of canadian drugs sold by legit pharmacies in canada come from oversees, as a CEO told FDA. In fact, Canada does not test drugs exported to the USA. That is canada's official stance reported to FDA. Read about it yourself on FDA.gov. There are many articles about this new hot topic. And mexico has many fakes too. Cipla is good, but how do we know the people we buy drugs from get theirs from Cipla? They can claim whatever they want. I emailed Cipla, asking if they supply a sales sight, and they did not reply.

Anyway, could someone please tell me how I can get a REAL presciption for Avodart I can use at a Walgreens? I don't want to pay 10 doctors $60 to see me and then each say no. How do find one that is willing before I go? Has anyone asked a Doctor? How did the conversation go?

See my comments on topical dutasteride and you will see that it not only is possible and will work, but it is cheap enough to buy name brand at wallgreens. Do a member search or something.

If you did that, there's no doubt in my mind that your DOCTOR would laugh you out of his office! The only place that could do that for you is a research lab specially equipped for it.

oh...

Can a doctor test for DHT levels?

Yes, you do a blood test, and the doctor specifies for DHT levels to be checked

So...

So docs can test for DHT, but only researchers can test for Dutasteride levels? Or is it that only researchers can test scalp levels of anything?

And how much do these tests cost, if you know?

docs just take your blood test and send it over to be checked, everything is checked, but you just ask Doctor to note down that you want DHT to be checked and they will do it. The cost is the same as the cost of a blood test

"Alternative" / "wholistic" MDs and DOs will be more likely to do hormone testing IMO. They always have tons of different crazy tests they like to do, so legit, some bogus. Don't make it out like your conducting some experiment though, just say you want to get your hormone levels checked and ask for a copy of the result when they get back. Ideally do a before and after if you can. I posted a lab that does a really nice hormone profile a while back. Search the forums for "diagnos-tech", I think that is what it was. I have used them, top quality. Of course, your MD will have to take care of sending the samples, etc. If the doctor doesn't know of a lab you can give him that information.

Actually, in my experience you need to specify what hormones you want checked in some cases. Usually the "most important" ones are checked by default but it is good to ask spedifically for estrogen and DHT too. LH and FSH could be useful as well.

So you're saying that my order of Dutas from INDIA is probably fake? That sucks. 200$ down the tubes.

how do you get "dutas is fake" from the previous discussion? we are just trying to figure out which drugs are fake, not saying one is.

so I should get my serum dht level checked while on finasteride, and switch cold turkey to 0.5mg per day for a week and get tested again, and if the levels are cut in half (90% inhibition compared to 70%) or there abouts, i know it is the real stuff, and if I get the same level, then I know it is 0.1mg/day, and if my levels double, then i know it is a blank. then i can switch back to finasteride and maybe take a 1 week break and put the dutasteride in my minoxidil like i had planned in the first place. How much do the tests cost? a lot less than spending money on fakes and loosing my hair, i'm sure.
