How visible is shedding on minoxidil?

One of the things that has always stopped me buying Rogaine is the shedding and how much worse it might make me look. I've read that you lose a lot of hair before it regrows but how much worse does it actually look? Do people feel that they looked significantly worse/more bald during the shedding phase or did it not look too bad? I just need to put my mind to rest about this before I start using the stuff. Thanks.

Some people shed, some people don't. Just like finasteride. No way to know until you try it. I personally didn't. I would recommend getting a buzz cut for the first few months of big 3 treatment, that way if you shed you won't really notice anyway.

Im a month in... shed started happening after first 2 weeks... i think it is slowing down now..
