its been a while since i posted here...anyways...i am doing really good. here's an update on my situation. (i was using rogaine 5% n nioxin then i switched to generic rogaine from costco n nizoral + t-gel. i also take hair vitamins)

i've been using rogaine/minoxidil for 5 n a half months n my results have been absolutely phenomenal. i suffer from recession n i applied the minoxidil to the whole front part of my head n temples. i started as a norwood 0.5 n the shed that accompanies minoxidil made me to a Norwood 0.75 but now as of today, im back to a 0.25. my temples have completely grown back. i have more hair on my temples than EVER...even more than when i was 14,15 or whatever. my hairline is pretty stable...theres no thinning n fining hair n hairs r growing in...albeit not as good as my temples but in a few months...they could be. my recession has slowed tremendously but i cant say it has stopped because i dont think it has. when i shampoo...i see 0 to 5 hairs on my hand...

everyone please don't give up...i didn't n its really paying off. when i first used minoxidil...i had a bad shed n i was mentally distraight...i felt like it was accelerating my recession...but im glad i stuck with it because the hairs i lost on my temples have completely grown back with more hair n my hairline is coming back per se...anyhow..feel free to ask me any questions n just remember persistance is success.

Im right there with you Afro! I started using finasteride/Min/nizoral on 4/20 and just hit my 4 month mark. At first I too went through a major shed and lost alot of my front hairline and temples. I was so depressed then but now, I have tons and tons of hairs filling in my temples/hairline and my hair is so much thicker now. I couldnt be happier :rockon:

ALthought Im still a NW1.5 or so, all of my recession spots are filling in and look much better. If I continue at this rate, I will be very pleased by Christmas.
