I am restarting xandrox 15 after 6 months on the foam

My hair transplant Doctor advised me to drop xandrox 15 as he thought it was too strong. from my pictures you can see i have lost ground on my front (where I didn't have hair transplant).
So from yesterday in addition to foam twice a day I am using xandrox 15 1ml every day. After I am done with this bottle, I plan to replace it with Lee's new minoxidil 12.5%

I will update if I see any progress.

roki, can't say anything conclusively, however I can clearly see that I have lost some hairs in the front (this could be due to shockloss from my hair transplant).
May be xandrox 15 recruits some hairs on top of regular minoxidil. I have definitely lost ground on foam (after stopping xandrox 15). That is the only change I made in August last year.

If I get my frontal hairs back, it means that xandrox 15 is better than foam. Foam is still better than regular minoxidil imo.

why would xandrox 15 grow more hair than rogaine foam i wonder? 5% twice a day should give maximum regrowth possible from minoxidil and the only differences arethat xandrox contains a higher % of minoxidil which shouldn't give that much extra results above 5%, if any, and the other difference is that xandrox contains azelaic acid.

15% is 3 times more then 5% so there should be a difference no?

i wouldn't think there'd be much of a difference at all, if any. i mean 5% once a day is supposedly roughly equal to 2% twice a day?

Jayman,
It is very speculative. I don't think azelaic acid does anything. I don't expect xandrox 15 to be 3 times more effective than 5%. But if it is 5% more effective, for slick bald people like me, it makes a big difference.

My guess is that he has shed a bit due to the Foam, hence the loss of ground. But the shed I would say was a positive shed.

tech, if you're saying that it's 5% more effective than foam, i really don't understand. a 5% increase in density is not really that noticeable. thta's about what nizoral gave in studies.

i mean let's just assume for a second that you had a full head of hair, and had 100000 hairs. are you going to notice a difference between 100000 and 105000? I wouldn't.

radio,
I have been using foam for six months. I had shed a lot. I believe my crown has improved (could be the hair transplant hairs). Hairs in my front should have come back in six months.

Jayman, like I said if you hair is full, 5% wont make a difference. We know that we need to lose fifty percent of our hairs before we look bald or thin in any area. So if xandrox 15 makes a difference between 50 percent to 52.5 percent it is worth it.
(not for 95 to 100)

i see what you are saying. did you ever have any success regrowing areas where you were 50% miniaturized with rogaine?

Jayman,
I had grown my frontal hairs with various products from Dr. Lee. I hope this answers your questions.

Jayman,
Lee's xandrox 15 and his 5% minoxidil (both with and with azelaic acid).
