Hi, i'm 18 years old and i think i'm suffering from early male pattern baldness. This has just been a lot do deal with mentally recently, because of how young i am, and the fact this came out of nowhere. Let me give some family history: The grandfather on my mothers side had a thick, full head of hair until the day he died. On my mother's side though, all four of my uncles have experienced at least some signs of male pattern baldness, although only one is bald. My dad has a full head of hair, and he's in his mid fifties, his father (my paternal grandfather) also had a thick head of hair until he passed away, but he died early, at like 45. And both my dads brothers have not experienced male pattern baldness. My hair has always been very coarse and thick. It would grow outward instead of up, so my hair has always had a lot of width, and volume. The thing is at first, i noticed some hair loss, but it was mostly due to seborrheic dermatitis, which i have. So at first i assumed the hair loss was from that, but now i'm unsure. The only parts i see thinning is on the crown and a little bit on the left side of my head. I have no widows peak or anything and my hairline seems perfectly intact. So, yeah... I've just been kind of stressed about this. I have a dermatologist appointment tomorrow, actually. So if you guys can let me know if you think this is male pattern baldness or a cowlick (hopefully), let me know what you think i, appreciate it.
Note the third picture was taken like two months ago, when i didn't notice any baldness near my crown at all. It was a back progress pic for working out, lol so, i apologize in advance for the douchey vibe it may give off. This all happened quite quickly Anyways input is appreciated.
