I can't stand to see people with thick heads of hair anymore

As a 23 year old with severe diffuse unpatterned alopecia, nothing brings me more pain than to see a guy with a really thick head of hair. I saw a 50yo news reporter on TV with an incredibly dense head of hair, combed back in a Norwood show-off hairstyle, and it killed me. Even this old *** guy has a thick head of hair, but I'm 23 and 90% of my hair density is gone. Your 20s are supposed to be the time where you enjoy life with a thick NW0. But I got stuck with this sickly, repulsive, premature hairloss.

My hairloss not only means I will never be attractive to any woman under 30, but has implications to nearly all aspects of my life, including career. People with this hairloss look damaged, and in turn appear less competent. Getting a job will be harder, as will be getting promoted. Getting managerial positions as a bald man are especially difficult, because bald men lack "charisma". Job performance is somewhat difficult to assess objectively, so people look at you holistically, and a big part of people's holistic assessment of you is your looks.

False. I have seen several instances of bald men dating hot women in their early twenties. Your pessimism is only going to hurt you.

Early twenties might be pushing it for most bald guys, except the genetically gifted, but some girls past age 23/24 realise not all guys have boyband NW1's and start to at least consider it, notice a guys actual face and body instead of just the shine.

I really hope so..
I am really worried about this.
When I will be line in to get married,
As arrangements marriage will be the route,
I will post my pic in book.
All brides and grooms put there biodata in book and then prospective candidates get call or interest from other side.
My mom said she will never call prospective bride side family,

I am worried I will not get good/either interest because they may feel there daughter is not at such less level that I as a bald approach her as an interest

Love marriage is out of my Limits.

I'd give you my hair if I could, man! I actually really would. Not sure you'd actually want this mess, but I definitely feel where you are coming from. Most guys with hair are oblivious to the pain.

You can do this!

I understand and empathise with how you feel when you see somebody with a thick head of hair. I think it's easy to become blinkered by what some would describe as the 'instagram' generation. Often pictures you see online for example, are doctored to make a person look naturally attractive. Social networking in many ways promotes low self esteem by painting a false picture of a persons life, showcasing only the 'best' bits.

You can't edit real life and while it's true their are some people that over emphasise a persons value based on their appearance, I believe that most people, the kind of people that will value you for who you are don't care about your hair loss. The fact that you have and are concerned about your appearance shows that you take pride in yourself and value yourself. That in itself to many people is an attractive quality.

My advice to you is to take more time to love yourself. Go to the gym, exercise, eat well or do things that you know make you feel good. Once you start to love yourself more, you'll radiate natural confidence and that will become clear to others. To quote JK Rowling 'we don't need magic to change the world. We have all the power we need inside ourselves' and I think you can apply that to your sense of self worth.

Good luck with your journey. You can do this!

Buzz it

if you don't look good with a buzz, then chances are you were never good looking to begin with. 100% fact

In other words good looking people. Symmetry is correlated with beauty, and attractiveness.

As iv'e mentioned in numerous threads, hair accentuates our looks, but also gives the illusion of being much more attractive then we actually are.

As a guy with mostly a full head of hair (thanks to finasteride and minoxidil), be careful what you wish for. It's such a pain to style especially when I'm having a bad hair day. Be glad you're bald.

I think what I really cannot stand is when people correlate hair loss to having a poor diet. Yet, I've seen countless individuals who are overweight who most likely eat really unhealthy with perfect full thick heads of hair, and I've seen many who are athletic with a great life style and are bald.

Another thing that bothers me is when I see videos on YouTube on 'tutorials' with individuals talking about how to keep free from hair loss and graying when they never suffered from any of that to begin with. If anything they talk about is only somewhat true to a certain extent, then nobody would have hair loss or graying hairs.
