I cant use minoxidil..need some suggestions..

So Im using .5mg finasteride and 5% spironolactone. What else can i add that will aid in thickening and regrowth (i have developed an allergy to minoxidil) Is there anything that is word it? or is minoxidil just about the only growth stimulant...

What was your experience with minoxidil exactly? If by allergy you are referring to itching and scaling you could combine it with Nizoral, or opt for minoxidil solutions containing no propylene glycol which is probably what causing scalp trouble for you. PPG is not the only vehicle available for delivering minoxidil to your follicles, while minoxidil is probably the best growth stimulant out there.

I got a red rash right under the hairline. There were tons of little pimples, with dry red skin. I tried both the rogaine foam and dr.lees minoxidil and had the same reaction to both. I thought the foam didnt contain ppg...The strange thing is i never had problems in my previous years using minoxidil...

desar, you could try Dr Proctors formula with no minoxidil. Its called Prox-N. It has NANO and SOD's in it, NANO is supposed to work almost as well as minoxidil.. you can buy it on dr proctors webiste or theres a cheaper version on the Life Extensions website...Its a legitimate product and is featured on this site even.. I havent really used it, but just letting you know about it. Let me know if you need more details.

I think SOD products are the way forward, I have read about tests which showed SOD to be more effective in Anagen hair % when compared to similar concentrations of minoxidil.

Further more SOD products do not have to be alcohol based meaning that you can stay clear of the dry scalp and brittle hair feeling acheived when using Min regularly.

Yeah you could just apply it to the temples area, or you could apply it all over your head, wherever you want to see some regrowth at.

I think I may ditch the foam which is causing a bloated face and making my temple area worse that feels like HAY
