What else are you on? Just minoxidil? Age and how long have you been bald? Great improvement. Really is. You have hair at the front and the bald spot is much smaller. Well it wasn't even a bald spot before, full on empty on top!

Just like a month result too!

wow major improvement mate but you need to add finasteride. Minoxidil will not stop the balding process it's just gonna give you an additional boost but the balding process will still continue.

This guy for real? You dont know? You had 0 hair before! Good progress in such a short time, never know when you reach 6 months you might be looking at alot more but without finasteride or dutasteride your efforts are going to be in vane

People always say without finasteride it will be in vain, no doubt finasteride is better at stopping hair loss than minoxidil. But minoxidil can keep people above baseline for close to 10 years according to trials, it's more than just a growth stimulator for those who respond I feel.

Of course, finasteride is a must to be safe and using both is even better.

This guy has responded fantastically and is also older perhaps. Mad to think DHT all these years destroyed his hair follicles yet minoxidil resurrected it AND without doing anything to DHT still.

You're wrong there, you're above baseline at year 2 on average then you get back to baseline and below eventually.

I need to find the trial but at 2 years you were 2.7 times over baseline. 5 years 2.3. The authors speculated that it would take 16 years to get to baseline in that linear fashion.

Here you go

This might even be 2% Minoxidil. My feeling is the people who respond extremely well, really are sorted for at least a decade. But common sense would say add in finasteride too.

This is the study I was referencing, it's a 2.5 year study, notice how you peak on the first year then gradually start declining. The end is when they stopped applying minoxidil hence the drop.

I've seen that. If you look at 48 weeks and then at 96 weeks, there is a drop but doesn't tell you how long it will take to actually reach baseline. The 5 year one is a longer trial with a better pattern established. That's also hair weight, not count, what you have referenced.

Bear in mind weights/count are ALWAYS going down even with finasteride post one year. Cosmetic deficit is what we are interested in and only happens once you lose 50% hair counts in one area.

finasteride is better I agree with you but minoxidil is good too, especially for the 1/3 who actually get regrowth on it.
