I thought you were supposed to try anything to stop male pattern baldness? Don't worry the sides will go away, continue taking it, no I'm joking. Just wait I'm sure it will go away, if it doesn't, you can always browse propeciahelp to see if other people suffering from permanent side effects have solutions to offer.

Dude i allready stopped propecia cuz it was usless. Im nw4 and keep losing even when i was on it

What i found wierd is that i can get an erection easly. But when i c*m i dont have any seman or bearly have. Its like my balls are empty. Like my body dosent produce sperm

I thought you were depressed anyway which is why you were sectioned. What medication are you on?

Just some anti schizo med

I dont think this is the reason.

anti-depressants/anti-psychotic medications have a far higher incidence of causing sexual side effects and libido or impotence problems, than Propecia does. Speak to your doctor.

and

can you see a possible relationship between those two statements?

Good point QC. Hardly likely to work taking it so infrequently. Plus BBSA isn't exactly a reliable witness, remember how he said he went from a nw2 to a nw4 by shaving his head?

If you want your libido back, then make sure you stop watching anything stimulating as well as stop touching yourself altogether. It is going to be a tough challenge but sure worth it.

You took propecia "for a while" and "2 times a week"...and then try to make the claim that you still lost hair while on it? It's people like you that contribute to giving Propecia a bad name.

1: You have to take it every day, and at the recommended dose
2: You have to take it for AT LEAST A YEAR before you know if it's really going to work or not (took 16 months for me to notice decent regrowth)
3: You will STILL LOSE HAIR while you're on Propecia. Everyone loses hair every day, it's a part of life, no matter what your Norwood scale is.
4: Stop overthinking everything.

Hah "ball ache!"

Side effects are real. If you can't eat it, its probably not good for you. See a holistic nutritionist and natural path. It definitely helped my hair. I feel amazing. Its just hair.

some people on propeciahelp back their claims with scientific studies so not everything there is brainwashing. maybe the reason you feel bad when you visit propeciahelp is because you feel that some of the complaints there are real. propeciahelp is the other side of the story, and if you wanna be truly informed then you should hear it.

no, they cherrypick the studies that back their claims and ignore the overwhelming studies that refute their claims. It's mostly propaganda and spin - classic 'politician' tactics. There's nothing at all impartial about propeciahelp.com. There have also been numerous incidents of them using sly and misleading tactics to further their cause, twisting evidence to fit their agenda and deliberate fear-mongering mainly out of spite rather than a genuine attempt to help or warn others. They are now also involved with the lawsuits against Merck.

I'm all for an unbiased, impartial and objective investigation into the 'permanent side effects' issue, but Propeciahelp ain't it

Quantum Cat,
you seem like a very active member this site and you've been around for a while. i asked this in a separate thread but nobody replied. I'm experiencing some abdominal pain and muscle twitches one month into propecia. I'm 100% sure its caused by propecia. have you ever heard of anybody else who experienced such symptoms and do you know if they resolve with continuing to take the drug? I'm pretty sure if i consulted a doctor the first thing he's gonna tell me is to drop the finasteride, but i really don't wanna quit finasteride there's nothing out there that can replace it.

Just the thought of me potentially losing all my hair has actually reduced my sex drive next to nothing.

Instead of watching p**rn at night, I find myself searching through the forums. My focus has shifted and depression has kicked in.

What was once important no longer is. If I was already on Propecia, I would have probably blamed it on that.

I see you on various threads warning people about side effects is this based on first hand experience? or just from what you have read on forums.

I am not a member of propeciahelp.com but have lurked there for long time. I wish I never had and just listened to my doctor who told me that I did not need to quit finasteride when I got prostatitis in Oct 2012. But, I didn't and I freaked out and quit finasteride. It crashed my endocrine system. This is no lie. My bloodwork proved it. There was no other cause and even my uro admitted that by quitting finasteride I sent my hormones into a tailspin. I have and continue to suffer side effects. I agree that not everything on propeciahelp is legit, but by my own experience, there are men who have side effects and some of them don't go away like they should. If you believe Merck, I should have never had a "crash" but I did and it was/is real.

did the Doctor say the finasteride caused your prostatitis?

I wouldn't be surprised if you felt effects after stopping finasteride - it seems likely you would expereince some sort of change as your DHT levels rise considerably upon stopping

Doctor said finasteride was NOT the cause of the prostatitis. I was so freaked out though that I quit anyway. Can you take a look at my thread on prostatitis and finasteride and give me some thoughts?
