I have been on Avodart for 2 months....

I have been on Avodart for 2 months(only 1/2 capsule a day, dissolve in water) and have some good results. I have some new hairs at front hairline and some hairs are much darker. Hair is thicker overall, but was thicker about 1-2 weeks go, maybe shedding.

Anyway, I mentally have not felt that well on it; mentally slow, maybe a little depressed, less energy. Can anyone share their experience with similar side effects and time lines and if the side effects go away with time?

I am considering switching to Propecia. However, I tried it twice when it was only available as Proscar(1/4 tab) and I did not feel too good on it.

After all depression isnt really a bad thing.

What? Depression IMHO is a serious mental disease that should NOT be underestimated. I'd rather have hairloss than suffer from depression for the rest of my life. What good does it do to keep or even regrow your hair but not be able to feel happy about it?

He will have depression for awhile. But if he gets some results he will be much happy.
