It's possible to have a transplant with retrograde alopecia, it depends on its severity imo.. tried to ask a transplant surgeon?
Don't really see a point since i won't have a transplant now anyway, and i don't 100% know how my hair loss will progress. For now, i think there's a 90% chance that i will eventually end up a retrograde NW7 like my father, and 10% chance that my hair loss will end up being less severe. I like keeping my expectations low just to be safeThis. You should get a consultation with a good hair transplant surgeon to know for sure.
Yeah if all else fails i'm open to getting SMP. Not optimal. But better than slick baldIn extremis you can still get scalp micro pigmentation... I know it's not an optimal solution though.
But yeah try oral minoxidil first.

Is your hair buzzed down? I don't know if that is really retrograde. Not a great photo. So now oral minoxidil is my only option. But i will be most likely fully bald within 5-10 years anyway with no way to get a transplant

I don't think most dermatologists are aware of what retrograde alopecia even is. And it's too obvious anyway that any Norwood-spotter can easily noticeA Dr. gave you a diagnosis,or its just your opinion?
Yes I couidnt agree more.My sides look like that and i dont have that condition according to a hair expert i saw 6 years ago.My hair has been always like that on the sides(bottom) but not at the backI don't think most dermatologists are aware of what retrograde alopecia even is.
