hi there.. im trying to get some information on rogaine that i just don't think is clear enough from what i read.. from what i am getting it seems every time you apply rogaine you have to wash your hair???????? that is crazy to me.. at least. im black and my hair is thin.. i want to begin using rogaine however there's no way with my hair type, to wash my hair twice a day.. please tell my you don't have to wash it with every application.. it would be so incovient for me with the way i want to wear my hair :cry:

another thing does anybody know or if there are any black people who frequent these boards how rogaine work on black people's hair? is it less successful or or same rate of success?

No you don't have to wash it before each application. Once a day is fine. I wash my hair in the morning, blow dry it a little, then apply the rogaine.
Then about 2 hours before bed I apply it again. By the time I go to bed it's pretty much dry. Hope this helps.

thanks for the information.. see the problem is.. black people well from all i know.. don't wash our hair as frequently as others.. once a day is too frequent as well.. do you AT LEAST have to wash it once a day though?? is that in the instructions?.. i wash my hair once a week.. would that suffice.. there are just differences... in different hair types.. i don't know ..i really want to start using rogaine and i want to do everything it takes to work but good grief!!

also if you are already taking blood pressure medicine are you not suppose to use rogaine? of course i'll consult my doctor .. but i would just like to know if someone else has read up on this or heard something about it?

I think it's down to you. Application after application of minoxidil and you may feel your hair is gopping. (horrible)

So just wash your hair as often as you need to. If you want to leave it three or four days then leave it three or four days.
