I had not realized just how good treatments have been to me until someone just tagged me on facebook in a couple pics from 1.5 years ago (before I was on treatments)
The combover I'm trying to pull off is vomit inducing.......it honestly would have looked 100x better if I'd "just shaved it" down to a #1, or #2 guard
To describe as best I can, I'd say I was basically NW2.7 with a see through forelock, trying to pull off a combover hairline...literally makes me feel nauseous thinking about how it looked
Now I'm probably about NW2.4 with much better density in front. I'm essentially a fullhead to the casual eye. My transplant is basically looksmaxing protocal at this point. I'm still going to go through with it because I want that ideal frame, and I don't expect to get that level of regrowth I'd be satisfied with from meds as I have a pics showing my hairline has been off for 10+ years
When I look at these pics of my disgusting combover any hesitancies I may have had to tinker with my hormones or commit to applying stuff to my head 2x a day seem laughable in comparison with the alternative. I think it's safe to say I will never be going off the big 3 until something better becomes available or I develop unbearable side effects. The second I start losing ground again I plan to jump right on dutasteride
