not just because of hairloss research but also in general. doctors are pretty useless the moment it takes more then describing antibiotics, i see so many colleagues with chronic diseases that just cant be cured or where doctors cant even find the cause

its breathtaking how primitive everything is

Most chronic illnesses result from poor lifestyle. People need to take personal responsibility for their own health and stop expecting a pill to cure their ailments. E.g. “back backs” are mostly due to obesity and poor sleep.

A sedentary lifestyle is kinda forced upon us. As a kid I always envied other children from less developped countries, that spent their time working the land instead of studying their youth away like us. I hated school and I was apprehensive towards white collar jobs, but the alternatives to that lifestyle are just getting fewer by the day. So that's where most of us end up.
Sitting and with access to sub-par food. Very unhealthy lifestyle of course.

There is merit to what you say, there is a distinct lack of discipline in our society as well though. In theory, it's in our power to put junk food companies out of business simply by stopping buying their stuff. Socioeconomics are a major predictor for poor health outcomes. In Britain, smokers are disproportionately represented by low income households.
