I really messed up... need peoples oppinions

I want to start off by saying I do not have any hairloss at all, here is my issue..

My shampoo ran out so like an idiot I decided to use my dads "regenpure dr" shampoo it has 1% ketoconazole in it. Since I started using it my scalp started to itch and hair started to fall out daily i was confused and had no idea what was going on, until yesterday I realized it was purely the shampoo that has completely destroyed my hair within 1 month of use.

Am i absolutely doomed now? my hair has thinned out massively, dried up and frizzed and just looks a mess, I dont even want to leave the house. I look like a different person completely.

I've stopped the use of the shampoo since today, will my hair go back to being thick and healthy again? or have I completely ruined my hair for good...

In terms of recovery I'd guess your hair will likely slowly recover since you said you had no hairloss prior to using ket shampoo. In my personal experience of 20 plus years battling hairloss from most angles imaginable, nizoral (ketacozanole) is the single worst thing I ever tried.

I'm assuming you've stopped using that shampoo, so give it a couple of month or so and hopefully things improve. I certainly wouldn't even consider jumping on the meds anytime soon since you had no prior hairloss. Makes no sense to start meds just because you got a shed from a shampoo.

If things don't improve, try bathing or washing hair with water with magnesium flakes and dead sea salt dissolved in it. Has worked wonders for me. Use any shampoo very sparingly, and preferably a mild sls free shampoo.
