My hair hasn’t been thin for a really long time. I got it cut as a teen and that’s when I first started to notice things wrong. My hair dresser was family friend and my hair was long and thick, when she cut it the back became really thin and she thought I was sick. My mom took me to the doctors that week but I wound up being fine. Fast forward to now, I’m 25 and my hairs been an ongoing struggle, but nothing I couldn’t handle. In the last few weeks though it just got real bad real fast and it’s just cause for alarm. I was already debating asking my doctor for finasteride. But then after doing research for the last week or so, realize I might have DUPA. So I’m not sure if it would even be worth it at this point. Last time I did blood work it was fine, but I’m going to do it again this week anyway, and get my thyroid checked out, but I don’t think that will be the reason for this. Just want to hear thoughts and suggestions. Attached some pics, some are closer to the light and some aren’t.

Yeah you probably do...why not ask for finasteride I bet you would have great results....Ive read it works best on diffused hair loss such as yours. Which you still have alot of hair to begin with... You should give it a try. Probably thicken up alot...wish you good success.

I was taking topamax, just stopped though cause of this. That’s it medicine wise though. Family has a history of diabetes but I don’t have it luckily, besides that I’m healthy to my knowledge. Going Thursday now for blood work and to get on finasteride hopefully.

Hello, just to recap, I am a man and have DUPA hair loss (or female pattern hair loss), diffuse hair loss and thinning (back, sides and top) which started 3 years ago after an episode in my life where my alimentation was very bad and had nutrient deficiency for sure. After fixing my alimentation properly my hair are still shedding and thinning all over.

Since 8 month i only take 1mg finasteride / day (no reduction on my hair loss), cb0301 30mg topicaly with no reduction on my hair loss, Biotin (10mg/day), spearmint tea (4 cup/day to reduce free testosterone), Flaxseed (30 g/day to reduce testosterone)

Here is a complete blood test that I have done 3 weeks ago. It would be great if some of you may highlight some issue in it and maybe propose corrective action as he might help others with similar hair loss.

From my perspective, I think I have low zinc, low vitamin d, high prolactin level, high cortisol level and maybe iron deficiency as we can have it according to study even with normal level of blood iron.
