hey there
this morning i was too drowsy to take a shower or wash my head or anything like that (causing my hair to get greasy), it was actually an OK hair day, until i got home and somehow found myself in front of a mirror directly under bright sunlight. it was totally... devastating, scalp was visible everywhere, it looked like a complete nightmare, my hair is so ***** thin and has zero density or volume. sure you see scalp on almost anybody under sunlight, but not to this extent. i don't have an actual bald spot yet but my hair just keeps disappearing everywhere.

it's almost ricidulous how much difference there is and how bad it actually looked under sunlight, it's more or less OK in every other lighting condition, but under direct sunlight + greasy head, it's a disaster and the truth comes out

this has pretty much ruined my day + tomorrow will probably be screwed too, because then i'll get to shampoo for 2 days, meaning twice the hair falling out:(

sorry if this topic is kind of pointless but i felt like i had to write this anyway and i'm sorry if i offended anyone.

I generally bumble along okay despite hairloss but every so often I catch myself in a particularly bright reflection or mirror and feel crap about myself. I find it funny how I tend to manage fine for a few weeks and something like a remark directed at someone/something else might 'trigger' my hairloss related anxiety.

Yeah, that stupid retarded sebum... If only they could find something efficient for sebum reduction, lifes of balding people could be easier, i think.

High doses of vitamin A worked well for me. It's backed up by science.

I took 50000 IU everyday at a point, reduced to 25000 and then 10000.

Now my skin and scalp are oily again so I'm upping the dosage again.

I know some sources say it's dangerous, but what else do we have?

Oh right, Accutane, and that's not dangerous at all.

My f*cked-up genetics. You just have to work with what's available.

spironolactone (oral) has worked very well for me in reducing sebum production. I've gone from oil slick to almost none at all! If only it worked as well in reducing hair loss.

that is nowhere near the ultimate hair loss nightmare

i could have had it recently when i went to a perfectly aesthetic and norwood-free college campus the other week.

but luckily i wore a hat to cover up my norwood 6 so there would be no unneeded attention

Don't ever take that hat off, seriously.
